I understood better now.For my requirement it is confirmed that I have to go with 8309 screen.

but my small doubt here is

"For all the logic required to save the custom field data in custom table AND to display the same on screen"

we need to write the logic in PBO & PAI of the relevant screen.right? Please confirm.

I am raising this question as I have worked one screen exit long back, there I have written the logic related to PBO and PAI in one User Exit relevant to the screen,not exactly in the PBO & PAI of the same screen.So in your case have you coded in PBO&PAI of the 8309screen or any user exit?

Please Inform the same.
